About Us

The Office of Student Financials Accounting ensures that the organization’s accounting records are accurate and free from errors. Our mission is to provide excellent service to not only the students who attend the university but their parents as well as the alumni, faculty, staff, and others in support of the academic, administrative, and financial activities of Florida International University. Our department is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the various transactions posted to student accounts including charges, payments, waivers, and financial aid as well the administration of the Perkins Loan & 3rd Party program accounting. At a university level the department analyzes and reports on student receivables, collection agency activity, and prepares reports analyzing revenues, receipts, refunds, and receivables for review by upper management.
